Jolly-Pa-Looza 2010

Jolly-Pa-Looza 2010 - Saturday, December 4, 2010

This Saturday, December 4 at 7pm marks the second annual Jolly-Pa-Looza fundraiser that will be held at the Johnsburg Community Club.

This is our winter fundraiser and the group has worked really hard to make it even better than last year. We have two excellent bands, Rythmbone and Cover Blondz, a 50/50 raffle, a meat raffle and a lot of great people that have come together with one goal: helping to stomp out cancer.

Jolly-Pa-Looza is the second of two events that the group puts on each year to raise funds for various organizations like the American Cancer Society, Centegra Sage Cancer Center, The Susan G. Komen Foundation and Relay for Life just to name a few.

The group also contributes money to local families to help with the financial hardships that ultimately follow the diagnosis of cancer. This year included donations to the Chase Benjamin Freund Fund and the Barb Galluzi fund. For details around what contributions have been made, see Craigs blog postings where he goes into detail about the things the group is doing.

Two postings especially of interest this year are the ones entitled The Payoff and The Fruits of Our Labor.

I cannot tell you how proud I am of this group and the work they do to help in the fight against cancer. The Walla-Pa-Looza Organization is living proof that any group or individual can work towards its strengths (even if it is partying) in order to really make a difference in peoples lives.

Times have been tough the last couple of years. Imagine having to go through the diagnosis of cancer and all of the financial hardships that follow in order to get well – especially in these hard times. I really hope to see all of you at the Johnsburg Community Club this Saturday. If you can’t make it, you can still contribute by clicking our donate button on the top left of the screen. All donations are tax deductible – and every donation – no matter how small – helps.

Thank you to each one of you who are coming on Saturday and to those of you who donate to help us continue to make a difference. Special thanks to all of the volunteers that work so hard to make these “parties that make a difference” possible.

The Party Begins ...

Take the opportunity this weekend to really put a dent in the universe – one party at a time.

– Ron

P.S. In case you need further convincing that this is the place to be this weekend, check out this video clip from last years event. Who knows? You might be able to see it live!

  • Very nice job as always, Ron. Thanks for posting the video. Of course, you know I thought it was the other one, but this one – but this is more appropriate! :)

I’m very proud of the Walla organization and all the people who make the entity work. I have no idea on the work involved because I’m just one of the “supportive partiers,” but I have to say, it’s worth everything you all put in to it. The Party. The Cause. The Bonding together as a team. All Worth It. Cheers, guys and gals.

    See ya Saturday!
