Hintz Family Fundraiser

Benefit for the Hintz Family

Well, I’m back. I hope you enjoyed the blog post from my friend Dina Demonte. She did a fabulous job explaining how we reconnected and how she became our go to person for our battle of the bands. Speaking of bands, we will have an announcement in the next few weeks for our 3rd annual Walla-Pa-Looza event, or as my good friend Kevin Donlan called it WP3. So, keep checking our blog for news and updates. I think you will enjoy the pool of talent we have assembled this year. We will also have an update on the monies raised for our new friend Jessica Bertulis. I think your going to like what you hear. I am like a kid at Christmas, I cannot wait to tell them the good news.

Since I have you’re fund raising attention, I wanted to talk about an event my great friends in the Woodstock Infantry Association are doing for the Hintz family. To give you some background on the Hintz family fundraiser, I should probably start with how this came about.

Jason Hintz who is friend of mine and has done all the security for our events called me to tell me his aunt, Kathy Kroll is suffering from Glioblastoma multiforme which is the highest grade glioma (grade 4) brain tumor a person can get. The medical bills have mounted and her husband, Irv, has been taking money from his 401K and has depleted his savings. So I told him Walla-Pa-Looza would help and we are.

However, his friends in the Woodstock Infantry are doing one better. On Friday April 15th, The guys over at the Woodstock Infantry are putting together an event at the McHenry Moose Lodge. They will have live music from Cassandra and The Gravel Road, meat raffles, silent auctions and much, much more.

For more information you can go to their web site and download the flyer. I encourage you to stop by. Jason Hintz and his wife Kim have always volunteered for our events. Unfortunatley I will be out of town on business – but Joanne and the kids are going to attend.

Joanne will be presenting a check to the family that night.

Keep checking back as I am hoping to have the 2011 WP3 line up soon!
