Craig’s plea for Jolly Pa Looza 4 yrs in the making

I know, I know, your wondering where I have been.

Well, with Facebook, I am really not sure if anyone even goes to the Walla-Pa-Looza website but I figured I might as well throw out some information regarding our upcoming event Jolly-Pa-Looza. This event will be held at the Johnsburg Community Club on Saturday December 1st. It will feature two great local bands, High-Life and The Partyhardigans. If you attended our Walla-Pa-Looza event a few years ago you would have heard High-Life and they are great. They have a new singer but they are as tight as ever.

Then we decided we needed more energy and I will tell you this, The Partyhardigans bring it. Your ass will be moving all night. This is your chance to see the next big thing in the Chicagoland area and it’s only $5.00. We had them on our Sauf Und Spiel float in Johnsburg this past September and they kicked some serious ass! I have never had more compliments than I did with these guys. How can a Drum Major, magician, Clown, Jungle Jim and a Little School boy not be fun? Ok Shrek – don’t answer that …

Ok, wait there’s more! Don’t forget my buddy and Walla-Pa-Looza board member Chad Miller. He puts together a top notch meat raffle and other items to win. Tickets are 6 for $5.00. Not to outdo our brothers in the Johnsburg Lions but Chad brings the meat.

Next up, one of my favorite Bears Chrissy Lecinski (soon to be Mrs. Betts) has put together an incredible Silent Auction table – one that will include an X-Box 360 Kinect and three games Valued at $400.00 which was donated by our friend Tim Miller at www.resortcondocancun.com. Plus, Beyond the Ivy donated a package of four roof top tickets to the Chicago Cubs. Our Village President Ed Hettermann has stepped up and donated a Prime Rib dinner for 6 as well! We have tools, gift cards and some other amazing items too. If you can’t make the event but want to bid, contact me and we can have you text in your bid.

If eating meat or spending cash on auctions is not your cup of tea then make sure to visit our jewelry booth for some cool jewelry dedicated to cancer. We also have Family Affair providing all the food for the event and the great thing is, they are donating 100% of the profits to Walla-Pa-Looza. Not hungry? Then stop at the bar and pick up a cocktail from one of the guys in the Johnsburg Men’s Club. Every year they donate their time bartending so make sure to say thank you. The drink purchases come back to us too!

We may have some raffle tickets available but I can’t guarantee we will have any left so find a Walla-Pa-Looza volunteer and hit them up! The grand prize is an Apple iPad, first place is Sony a 46” TV, second place is a Blue Ray Player and finally $250 cash.

So donate, drink & dance or as my buddies in The Partyhardigans say – PARTY, NAP, REPEAT

See you on Dec 1st.

Craig

Wait!!! This just in – The McHenry Chamber of Commerce just donated 4 Saturday Fiesta Day Tickets with VIP Meet & Greet Tickets to see the National Act – Last year they sold out the park with Tesla. Wonder who they will have this year ;)

  • Love your blogs Craig! Will there be any of the regular raffle tickets, that you had earlier this month, for sale? I hope I didn’t miss the boat!
