JOHNSBURG, IL – Walla-Pa-Looza Chairman Craig Wallace was recently given notice that his Co-Chairperson Nick Bionda, in charge of Corporate Sponsorship is stepping down from his position effective immediately. Mr. Bionda recently found out Monday, July 27th that his step son, Zakary Woods, a 15 year old student at McHenry West Campus, was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma.

"We are devastated by the news but are positive that Zakary is strong enough to fight this disease" Wallace stated.

In light of this news, Wallace and his volunteers agreed that they would like to set up a trust fund for Zakary and donate some of the proceeds of the Walla-Pa-Looza event on August 1st at the Johnsburg Community Club to the Bionda/Woods family to help cover costs. "This is why this event was put together, to raise money for people like the Bionda & Woods families and nothing makes me happier than that. Nick gave 110% to this event." Wallace said. "What started out as a fun way to raise money has turned into something that has a note of seriousness to it. We will move forward on August 1st in hopes that this will raise even more awareness as this has truly hit home".
