Im so sorry bud! I cant explain enough how we need to all focus more on our children. This is happening more and more and more and it shouldnt be, there are answers to everything, there are solutions to everything and we all need to mold our children with a positive attitude. Life is so demanding for us as parents, more so than before, our economy has put so much pressure on adults which in turn carries to children. It is so easy to say that everything can be fixed, but for someone that is troubled and having a troubled time...those words dont even come into play in their thoughts. COMMUNICATION< COMMUNICATION is so key to all aspects of life, you can never communicate enough. It is so hard to be a child in this era for more ways than one, It is so scarey to see what is happening out there. Remember...take that extra second to hug, hold, kiss, listen and hear your children...even if it drives them nuts, it goes a long way. My prayers and thoughts go to your neighbors , I cant even imagine their pain. Stay positive as a community and they will gain from your strength!

Just another incredible night of people coming together to make a difference in the community for a great cause. Thanks again to all the Walla supporters that come out time after time to spend their hard earned money on great causes. It is pretty incredible that after 3 events we see this same core group of supporters that come out and donate and spend their money. These people drive us make our events a success and as i always tell people that say i want to volunteer but do not have a lot of time one of the biggest ways to support us is just attend the event and whether you have $20 bucks to spend or $500 to spend it does not matter we want you there having a good time buy a couple of drinks and a raffle ticket and just have a Great time. Special thanks goes to Bob here is a man that has cancer so bad he was loaded up on pain patches and pain pills and he worked for 8 hour selling meat raffle tickets even though his pain level was high...he never complained and was always coming up to me to let me know i just grabbed another $100 in tickets. He helped make the meat raffle such a success so ......Thank you Bob and an absolute pleasure meeting you.

God Bless,
Mike

First and foremost....Craig you are awesome and I am so glad I have you in my life. Walla Pa Looza has brought such happiness to me knowing what we have done to bring a very needed hand to so many people in more ways than one! We have the most incredible group of people that work together to make a difference and we have definately made a difference in our community. I can't thank you enough for all the time and effort that you put into this and never ask for a thing from anyone in life. You are a go getter and your time and effort have paid off and I hope you can at one point .... relax (ya right!!! ) and sit and look in and see what you have created and I am so honored to be a part of it!

Everyone, Please come out for a good cause and help raise some funds for a family that is in need!!!

Hope to see you all there!!!

I've been very blessed in my life with Grandparents. Right after I graduated high school actually was when my last GREAT grandma passed away. So for most of my life I had my grandparents around - 8 to be exact.

Now, I know you aren't suppose to pick favorites, but I certainly had mine. My mom's father, aka: Oopie...he was my favorite. We always sat and sang songs and talked on his reel to reel tape recorder, swam, played with "our" dog Monty, slept on his screened in porch, he followed me around with a camera and we watched the reels on the screen. He and I spent alot of alone time with me until Robin was born. My love of cars, pool and well the thought of playing a good golf game are from him.

He was a 6 ft. 225lb strong man. Known as Storm'n Norman for his quarterback abilities, he was also was a navigator is WWII - and navigated during the Bridge of the River Kwai. But he was my teddy bear.

Then it hit. Robin and I were pretty young and so was he, if I remember correctly he was only about 59. But he was sick to his stomach, losing weight and found out that he had stomach cancer. They operated on him and took out 90% of his stomach. Oddly enough it was explained that his stomach was now the size of a golf ball - ironically his favorite game. But, he was alive.

He was an amazing man. Still could hit his dam ball farther than most, he was tired alot and his body and mind were years apart. He was an incredibly smart man and everyone loved him. Just wish his body was as strong as his mind.

When he passed away he was only 69 and probably about 100 lbs. I often wonder if the cancer would have crept in later, and the resources were different if he would still be here today. My daughter Emily often hears stories about him, and I wish he could have met her, they would have been pretty amazing together. Considering the rest of his brothers and sisters lived/are living well into their 90's, I just consider the cancer a thief. We did get those 10 years after his surgery, so we were blessed, but I miss him dearly.

Love ya Oopie xoxo Amy
