Q: What is Walla-Pa-Looza?

A: Walla-Pa-Looza is an organization that organizes and participates in events to raise money to assist cancer patients and cancer research. The monies raised are distributed both locally and nationally.

Q: What types of events does Walla-Pa-Looza hold?

A: In August 2009 we held our first event. It was an outdoor event that included food, music, raffles, and family friendly activities throughout the day. At this event we raised over $15, 000.00. In December we are holding an indoor event that will include food, music and raffles. You may also see us on a parade float or other local events selling cup cakes or giving purple ribbons out at the gas station for a donation. Who knows?

Q: Why all the Purple?

A: Everyone is familiar with pink being the color for Breast Cancer support. We decided that we wanted to be able to assist as many people as possible and found that purple is the color that signifies support for all cancers. Hence the shirts, the tent, and any of the other purple stuff you see us with.

Q: What kind of people make up the Walla-Pa-Looza Organization?

A: The people involved in Walla-Pa-Looza come from various backgrounds, but all have one thing in common, they shared the vision of its founder Craig Wallace, a guy that saw a need to party, raise some money and have some fun. It was his idea to begin with and he recruited friends and family to help and that has ballooned into something much bigger. Few of the people involved had any experience doing such a thing, but the groups pulled it off and were inspired to continue the fundraising after the first event.

We are working on opening our new PayPal account, so at this time checks are preferable. If you try to donate to the old account you may get a message stating we cannot receive funds at this time. We should have this issue fixed shortly.

Q: Are you recognized as a 503c?

A: We are currently in the process of applying for becoming a 503c non-profit organization. We are working with our lawyer and filing the paperwork and will hopefully be one soon.
